PGRN logo47CREATE (Comprehensive Research on Expressed Alleles in Therapeutic Evaluation)

GM063340 (Howard McLeod, PI; Michael Province Project 2 PI & Statistical Genetics Core Director)  CREATE is one of the studies of the PharmacoGenetics Research Network.  The DSG directs Project 2 and serves as the statistical genetics analysis center for CREATE.  Project 2 is using 465 immortalized CEPH cell lines as an ex vivo platform for pharmacogenetic investigation of cancer chemotherapies (e.g. 5-FU, docetoxal).  Genome-Wide Linkage Scans, Genome-Wide Association Scans as well as gene expression experiments are being used to localize and identify pharmacodynamic chemotoxicity variants.
